The Printed Fox: About

About

Why 'The Printed Fox?'

It could've been "The Naughty Fox." That would've made a lot of sense.

Or even, "The Snarky Fox." Definitely fits with my personality.

How about, "The Romantic Fox?"

Definitely not, "Fox Holes." Way too much room for immaturity there...

Why "Fox" at all?

My last name is Silverfox, and I liked the idea of being The Printed Fox.

I've been writing ever since I can remember. My first stories were literally written and illustrated with crayons. What pre-schoolers don't make up their own stories? The thing is, I never stopped. I've been crafting stories forever, and my real dream was to see those stories in print for others to read right alongside my favorites.

Being the Silverfox in print is the single most awesomest accomplishment I've achieved.

The nice thing about achieving your dreams is that there are always newer, bigger, and better dreams after that.

Like winning the RITA Award.

Who is Delena?

Oh lordy, where to begin?

I never know what to say in a bio. It's never all that interesting! At least, I never think so.

I am a mother to a wonderful little girl who is undoubtedly a genius (bent on world domination, starting with her stuffies), and aside from my self-published novels, also have books published with Naughty Nights Press. I am a card-carrying member of the Romance Writers of America. Joining the RWA was the first thing I did when I received my acceptance letter from NNP, after breaking the news to everyone I knew, that is.

By day, I am a work-at-home mom with a beautiful preschooler. I changed my major from English/Creative Writing to Psychology after enduring hostile prejudice against sci-fi/fantasy writers in the college environment, and now have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

When I'm not writing, editing, doing housework, or being a mom, I'm pretty sleep-deprived. I love spending time cooking, sewing clothes, crocheting, and researching new topics.

To be a writer, one is a student of life. I am a student of the world around me.
